The Bracklesham Beds are renowned b for their range of fossils from the Eocene period, 40 to 55 million years ago. The area around the Hazardous is rich in the remains of the marine creatures that once flourished in the then tropical climate.  These include the fossilised remains of sharks teeth, rays teeth, fish vertebra, gastropods, tusk shells, bivalves, and unicellular coin like Nummulites.

Because there is such a variety of species it pays to concentrate on each small area and keep an eye out for anything unusual, you never know what you might come across!
